Sometimes card drops doesn't register.
I had 12 cards of a certain monster and I saw 2 more drops, each which yielded 4 cards when I picked them up.
I should have had 20 by then, but even after a relog I still only had 12.
The monster in question was Giant Rats in world Alpha at Inferno 2, with double card bonus active, with 149 hours remaining.
