I always thought that a high IOU score would mean that that person dealt out high damage. However, since your score is increased by most upgrades, even those that have nothing to do with increase in gold or damage. Be careful of who you're accepting into your guild based solely off of IOU scores.
Yeah it might help you go up in the rankings for now, but those players will not help very much in challenges, getting further in game and events. It would be a good suggestion, to ask future members to state their damages/gold as well as maybe stone and crystals collected. As those are aspects that will actually contribute to the guild, more so than someone who has spent gold on useless upgrades such as max clix, just for a higher IOU score.
