Does the 250k Wood Upgrades worth?

Just that, i think 250k wood for just +3 damage is too expensive (same for the rest of 250k wood upgrades) but i'd like to know your opinion

It's a long term investment and as everything, it is worth it in the long run. Get to mine 35 or 40 before buying it.

I'm at mine 45 and I've just finished saving for the 500k upgrade. I hope you are respeccing your asc points before you cut wood, else it's not worth it indeed, but you've also been missing out on a lot of wood.

i only actually spent wood up to 100k cost crits. But I did upgrade higher with AP cost options.

Yep i always respec before chopping i already have mine at 44 so i think it's time to save for that 250k upgrade...

I'm doing something different than everyone, I'm focusing on wood cutting.  You can keep leveling up as fast as you want, but that doesn't achieve anything anyway.  So I'm going for the highest wood level instead.  Already have my 3 star wood orb and I'm about 10k away from the 500k dmg upgrade.  96 dmg (192 crit) let's me clear level 20 3 times with 98 energy.  My plan is to mass produce wood, get my upgrades high, and eventually start selling the wood for gold. 

You nerds can say this is bad all you want, but what is the point in leveling up as fast as possible and increasing your ABD quickly?  I say go for the wood upgrades.  Plus, if you start pulling in the wood really fast, you will always have enough to move down in the mine.  I do have my mine at 35 though, I knew enough to get at least that far first.

I'd be interesting to hear if you ever make that worthwhile... seems like it wouldn't work to me, but I never did the math or anything.

I'm pretty happy I got the 250K upgrade, and I have the orb at 2 star... so I'm geting 79/158 per chop. I figure I'll upgrade the mine until the levels get to cost around 250K, then save for the 500K upgrade.

Well, I have the 3 star orb now and the 500k upgrade, going to get the 250k and 500k crit upgrade next. It's the 4 star orb that will definitely make me Paul Bunyan. I'm currently at 102/205 dmg on stage 20. I'm also less than 1 million logs away from 21. At the rate I'm chopping, I might be able to take first place in a relatively short amount of time. Minimum, I need about 660 more trees to get to stage 23. 4 star orb will definitely cut down the amount of days needed to get there.

not to burst your bubble or anything but you won't ever get first place with 102/205, I crit for 238 with lvl 15 axe, almost at lvl 16, and 700k away from tree 22, I will never be first.

Also selling wood is craziness unless you really hate investing in your guild

Whats your Woodcutting orb at?  238 Crits at level 15 axe is high.

I just looked at the spreadsheet and you would need 58% woodcutting orb just to hit 238 crit with level 15 axe sharp. Are you only maxing Woodcutting orb?

His numbers don't add up clearly. You can't invest wood into your guild, and at the rate I'm currently getting wood, I will always be able to climb further down in the mine without an issue. My axe is at 14, 3 dmg lower than 15, and I have 45.4667% dmg increase from my orbs. You get 0.058325% per level and at level 99 you don't even hit 53%. So if you need 58% to hit that magical 238 crit, somethings not right.
