I use =2*(1-(Speed Upgrade+Ascension Speed Upgrade)/100) to calculate my attack speed in my spreadsheet right now (thanks to people in the chat for the formula!). This is without the active Speed Boost ability, because that's only for a short amount of time and I haven't factored in the active skill set.
My Auto Speed Upgrade skill is at Lv 23, giving it +21,5%. My Ascension Speed Upgrade is currently at 0%.
2 * (1 - 21,5 / 100) = 1,57 seconds. The initial value of 2 is in place because the base time is 2 seconds.
If I were to obtain Ascension Speed Upgrade 1 (and I will right away, once I ascend again!):
2 * (1 - (21,5 + 5) / 100) = 1,47 seconds. That's a huge DPS increase.
