I had something like this in past games...quite a collection of music. It used to be a huge focus for me, but I have learned to realize it is rather pointless for most.
To be completely honest, I think it would just be more optimistic to let people listen to whatever they listen to outside the game, since no matter how big the playlist, it will get old.
As I develop I always jump onto Youtube and find some random playlist - then when I hear a song I enjoy significantly more than the rest, I add it to my own playlist....

Alternatively hit up an online genre station:

Or play on a laptop and go to your local fast food wifi-supported joint and listen to comedy sessions of people complaining that their fries were cold, or taking 20 minutes to detail how they want their order.
