The hard mode is meant to be "just a tiny bit extra" but to keep you busy;; for those who complain there was no more after events.
The bonuses you get per stage in hard mode are-- in the grand scheme-- almost infinitesimally small compared to the first go around.
Unless you are a new, and f2p player--
It'd hardly be worth your time to grind past the first 3 or 4 levels in hard mode (at least as far as the rewards go)
But if you are that bored and want something to do-- have at it
