Yes, mainly because you can't really get it with gold in a timely manner.

Your best bet (assuming you've beaten arena 30) is investing into auto speed. If you're not worried about your DPS, you could also put in a little towards resource growth, like woodcutting upgrades. It's up to you in the end, just play a while and decide which you'd like to boost. Good luck!

wouldn't begrudge someone for saving for an axe upgrade but other than that it's probably best to spend on auto speed at least until it's lvl 100
