Underworld Spire
#1
Welcome to the inverted.  There's no need to stand on your head, this is just how things are down here.

We still have that Coming Soon button under Activities, so that is one potential place to put this.  When you click it, a window appears with basic information including your overall progress, your daily progress, and top player progress rankings, separated by tabs.  The rankings are purely for fun.

When you click the Enter button, you use up one of three daily attempts.  You start on the last floor you reached that day, or floor 1 if it's your first attempt.

For each floor beaten for the first time, at the end of the run you get 1% Spire boost, which has two functions:  It increases your dmg inside the spire by 1%, so repeat runs you will likely get further.  Additionally, Spire boost increases your idle rewards by 0.05%.  This means every 20 floors beaten, you get 1% overall increased xp/gold/card gain.

The Spire is completely passive outside of clicking the start button.  In fact, to further streamline it, previously completed floors will be fast tracked.  You will be relying entirely on idle damage; click damage and abilities will not be used.  Every 10th floor will be a Boss mob, but you will be rewarded with a <potential new currency?!> (or otherwise just something mildly appealing.)

To further entice naysayers, I offer you this:  A checkbox in the main Spire window, when checked, allows you to completely skip the battles and simply show your rewards.  This means, outside of personal interest in watching the battles, the entire process can be completed in an extremely short amount of time.  Additionally, when you click Start, a popup box that says "Are you ready to enter the Spire?" should appear, with another checkbox that says "Check this to skip this popup in the future." The reason for this is so that if you wanted to double check your ascension upgrades or other dmg-based features you would have a last-second out without risk of losing potential rewards.

While re-completing old floors won't get you additional Spire bonus, it WILL still provide the secondary reward currencies, whatever those happen to be.  I envision this feature overlapping with other planned features, such as the avatar and equipment features.  They could be linked together, so reaching far in one could allow you to reach farther in the other.

There is also the possibility that the Spire is not linked to your character's dmg directly, but requires instead a whole new branch of Spire-only upgrades, which could be completely disconnected from previous features, so that all players would start on a level playing field.

I know a new daily thing makes people cringe, that's why I suggest the Skip function so it's extremely easy to just click-click-click-done especially after doing it for weeks and weeks you may be bored of the battles, so this way there's no exhaustion.  You could even have the max Spire visits cap at 21, gain one every 8 hours, so people with less opportunity to play can just do it all at once at the end of the week.  Of course that's for Ray to decide if he wants to make being more active more rewarding or not, but feel free to chime in!

Anyway that's the basic gist of it, lemme know what you think!
