will the developers of this game ever (or within a year) make a second iourpg, as in a totally new game? or will they always continue to update the current game and not plan on a second version where everything is new and you must start over?

Not likely at all, if anything (ever), there may be a completely different game someday by Ray.

Never considered it beyond the 'nope'. As Listat mentioned, it would be a completely different game.
