Alts are allowed in IOU. So I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed.

With the solutions in mind for guilds, this kind of thing wouldn't matter. In the current system, it's mostly inefficient if you're intending on swapping character after character into guilds.
Alts? Nothing wrong there.
