This would be a very small feature, but it would be easy to implement anyway. I think that the chat that opens when you toggle the chat panel should be the chat you last had open, for example, if you were in guild chat, then closed the chat, only to re-open it later, it should already be on the guild chat. (i understand that this was probably suggested before, sorry).
