I believe the request is to allow other forms of guild contribution (besides stone). I could be mistaken.
Future guild content might allow for other guild donations, though the current pace of guild content is 1-2 new guild buildings per cycle, and a major update not too far away for new multiplayer/interactive guild systems.

One thing I would find useful with this would be if you also tied in another suggestion I read about seeing who donates and how much.
If we could have Pet Food, Diamonds, AP donated to the guild then have the ability to give these to a member then we could run some internal guild competitions that might try and encourage activity and donations.
