Is anyone close to finishing event? I've only missed maybe 4 energies but I'm still quite a distance from finishing.

Noone's close to finishing. There's still more than 1 week left and the event wasn't designed to finish it too early.

Gold will probably level up as fast as expedition points (as everything is leveling up faster now than in previous event).
Once you unlock gold, you'll get rid of it fast and then have 3 tiles to play with. And they'll be close to max already, so it won't take long to finish.

i dont really get it how some people are like 2 days ahead while i havent missed a single energy and im not yet at VALOR.
hope he keeps event open till everyone who hasnt missed valor can complete it.

It's all about how you play it. Some people click every 3 pair they see, others spend all their time focusing on getting 25%-50% of the board connected with 1 currency before turning it in. The strategies you use make a very noticeable difference.

It's looking like I'll be able to finish comfortably. Especially given that the event might run a few days into October. It again all depends on how you play. An uncomfortable amount of people aren't going to come close to finishing this event from bad rng and strategy. Someone said gold takes ~3 days to clear. So after diamonds tomorrow, I'd clear gold by the 28th. Then 3 currencies on the board goes by super quick.
